Munich, July 24, 2024 – With the latest release of its project management platform, software manufacturer InLoox is easing the burden on day-to-day business and increasing productivity. The new document management features in particular support users in their performance. However, undoing in Gantt charts and the SharePoint connection via Autodiscover also make project work easier.
Dr. Andreas Tremel, co-founder and Managing Director of InLoox GmbH: “We have made a number of enhancements in the current release. One of the most far-reaching innovations is the “Documents” menu item in the InLoox for Outlook Modern Add-in. Now you no longer need to leave Outlook to implement a document-driven workflow, which is usually triggered by an email with an attachment. InLoox 11.12 makes it easy to turn an email into a task and file the attachment in the Documents folder. The advantage of this is that reconciliations are initiated more quickly, the daily email chaos is less frightening and the inbox is emptied.”
As the documents do not remain in a personal mailbox in this way, but become task or project documents, they can be easily shared and edited with others. InLoox 11.12. now makes it easier to initiate project directories, the document preview has been improved and documents can be easily moved to another folder using drag & drop. Another new feature is the free text field “Status” and the option to export document lists to Excel. All of this not only makes collaboration more dynamic, but also increases satisfaction within working groups because everyone has an overview and things can be driven forward more effectively.
With InLoox 11.12, the feature to undo and redo changes in planning is available. This feature allows customers to quickly and easily undo or redo changes to a project plan - simply by using the arrow function. This allows users to edit and adapt projects more flexibly and securely. In addition, the new “Calendar” column makes it easy to see which working time calendar is being taken into account for the calculation of tasks and to change it online as required using the drop-down menu. The same applies to the new “Time interval” column, which shows the interval between planning elements at a glance. As users can now see directly how large the time gap between the individual elements is, fine-tuning and adjusting the schedules is made much easier.
The Microsoft SharePoint connection is the basis of document management and is particularly relevant for companies that manage access rights not only via the project authorizations in InLoox, but also via SharePoint. InLoox 11.12 makes it much easier to set up and link the document repository with SharePoint Online because Microsoft 365 authentication only displays those SharePoint sites for which the user has access rights. These SharePoint sites are then automatically displayed in a drop-down menu and the correct site for document storage only needs to be clicked.
The Munich-based company InLoox was founded in 2001 and develops project management solutions that simplify and accelerate business processes.
The product portfolio includes three editions, InLoox Professional and InLoox Enterprise in the cloud, as well as InLoox On-Prem for installation in your own network.
