Munich, March 21, 2024 – The software company InLoox has added a new InLoox for Outlook Modern add-in to its project management platform in version 11.8. This allows the productive Outlook work of employees in companies to be expanded with a powerful, intuitive solution that is seamlessly integrated into daily workflows. The InLoox for Outlook add-in offers the essential functions of task and document management as well as time recording using a stopwatch. In addition, InLoox 11.8 has expanded and improved functions for Gantt planning, mind maps and the task area.

The InLoox for Outlook Modern add-in supplements the user's Outlook view with a side panel that serves as a workplace. The side panel shows the current and upcoming tasks, which are sorted by due date. This makes it possible to see which tasks have priority. The tasks can be edited directly in the side panel.
Task management plus AI assistant: New tasks can be created directly from the side panel, with or without a specific email reference. In addition, the InLoox AI assistant can analyze the content of emails and create suggestions for possible tasks based on this content, which can then be easily adopted. The AI also estimates the effort required for each task and suggests a completion date.
Task processing and completion: Tasks can be edited directly in the side panel, as is also handled in the InLoox web app. Completed tasks can be checked off directly in the list. The tasks completed on a daily basis are displayed at the bottom of the list. This allows users to monitor their daily progress and maintain an overview.
Document management: Documents and e-mail attachments can be added to the task using drag & drop.
Time tracking: The side panel always shows whether time is currently being tracked and for which task. Time tracking for tasks can be carried out both via the stopwatch in the side panel and within individual tasks.
Among the new features in InLoox 11.8 are improved Gantt planning functions that make planning more convenient. For example, you can now edit time constraints for activities directly in the side panel as well as define the color of activities.
The mind maps have been expanded to include a new side panel with more functions. For example, documents can now be added to the mind maps using drag-and-drop.
In the task area, users can organize tasks and resources more flexibly thanks to the improvements. They also have a more comprehensive overview of the status of pending and ongoing tasks and the people to whom they are assigned.
