Munich, September 5, 2024 – The software manufacturer InLoox is currently launching the latest version of its project management platform. The InLoox 11.13 release is particularly impressive thanks to the revival of project checklists and the new “Time” menu item, which features smart project time tracking as well as Outlook calendar integration. There are also new features and enhancements in other functional areas of the InLoox Web App and the Modern Add-in.
The “list function” was introduced as part of the current release. These are project-related lists and overviews that can be created individually and used for various purposes, for example as a classic checklist, contact list or similar. These lists are a valuable management aid, especially for marketing projects or events.
The new “Time” menu item in the InLoox for Outlook add-in provides pragmatic support for project realization. This new tab is a powerful functional extension of the Modern Add-in, as it ensures that InLoox can interact with all relevant Outlook elements and process the associated data. The menu item enables seamless integration of appointments from the Outlook calendar into the various projects - a function that already exists in the InLoox Web App and is now available directly in Outlook with the Modern Add-in.
In InLoox 11.13, Gantt planning has been further enhanced. For example, the navigation bar has been made more user-friendly: the green buttons control the view and can, for example, extend or reduce the planning period, while the purple buttons are used for planning functions such as the automatic linking of activities. To make the toolbar easier to use, some functions have been moved to the three-dot menu on the far right for the sake of clarity, including Auto Save and the Critical Path, for example.
InLoox 11.13 also has new functions to offer in the area of task management. Until now, tasks in the project could be controlled and documented via the Kanban board by passing through various phases from “ToDo” to “Done” - a form of presentation that clearly visualizes the progress of projects. A new feature is the display of tasks in a list view, which enables tasks to be filtered and sorted in a targeted manner. Users can easily switch back and forth between the different views at the click of a mouse.
With InLoox 11.13, it is also possible to configure the SharePoint site and library individually for each project. As already known from the last release, the folder structure must first be initialized for a newly created project. It is now also possible to decide whether to use the location defined in the settings or to select a different SharePoint site and library for the project. Possible options are displayed in the corresponding drop-down menu so that the SharePoint location can be configured better and more precisely for each project. This flexibility allows for more precise and customized management of project files.
Administrators now have the option of obliging all users to log in to the account via Microsoft 365. In concrete terms, this means that users can no longer use the classic email/password login, but can only log in to InLoox with their Microsoft 365 account. This allows policy specifications to be implemented efficiently and easily. This option can be activated in the user management settings.
