Improvements & New features in Gantt planning
Visual upgrade
- Introduction of abbreviations: The layout is now more compact, as dates and durations are now only displayed numerically. Units are abbreviated, e.g. “h” for hours in the “Effort” column and “d” for working days in the “Duration” column (read explanations of the columns in the corresponding help article »). This provides more space for important information and a better overview of the planning.
- Different bar heights: The height of the bars of activities and tasks is now different. Task bars are narrower, which visually distinguishes tasks from activities.
- Color adjustments: Lines for plan start and plan end are more discreet. Important project information is no longer covered by flags of these lines.
Improved usability
New functionalities in the Gantt planning

- Del: Delete selected elements (with confirmation)
- Alt + a: Add activity

- Alt + minus: Zoom out
- Alt + c: Collapse all

- "None" constraint becomes “As soon as possible”: New activities now automatically have the constraint “As soon as possible” instead of “None”, which is the default setting. You can read all about constraints in the help article on constraints in the planning »
- Icon for constraints: A pin icon is now displayed in the “Info” column if the planning element has a time constraint. This does not apply to the “As soon as possible” constraint. If you hover over the icon, the type of constraint is also displayed. You can find an explanation of the columns in the help article on columns in the planning list »
-
Button for new milestone: A new “New Milestone” button makes it easier to create milestones without having to convert an activity. For details, visit the help article creating tasks & milestones in Gantt »
- Activity to milestone (and vice versa) by right-clicking: Existing activities can be converted into milestones by right-clicking and then clicking on “Convert to milestone”, and vice versa. You can find further instructions in the help article convert planning elements »
- Show and use your own fields as a column: Custom fields can be shown as a column in the Gantt and edited directly inline in the table without having to explicitly open the planning element. Details can be found in the help article on Custom fields » and in the help article Show columns in the planning list »
Beta version: Undo and redo changes in the Gantt planning
We are pleased to introduce the beta version of our new function for undoing and redoing changes in Gantt planning. The undo/redo buttons are designed to help you work even more flexibly and efficiently.
If you would like to try out this new feature and develop it further together with us, simply get in touch with us - a short email to our support team is enough. Note The beta function will only be activated for cloud customers. As soon as the function is fully developed, it will of course be available to all InLoox users.

Move linked documents to other folders
With InLoox 11.11, linked documents can now be moved from within the task, activity or milestone to other folders. A new button in the linked document opens the folder structure of the project, with the current folder highlighted in blue. Simply select the target folder and confirm the process with Move.
This function is particularly useful when you create a task from an email with an attachment. Within the newly created task, you can move the attached document directly to the correct project folder. This keeps your document structure clean and well organized.

Default language for the entire InLoox account
Administrators can now define a default language for the entire account in the settings. This applies to users who have not yet selected an individual language and is used for notification and invitation emails.
More information can be found in the help article: language »
Extended notifications for project master data
We have extended the notifications for changes to the project. If you have activated project notifications in your settings, you will now also receive email notifications when changes are made to the master data on the Manage page. This includes changes to the start date, end date, name and status of the project.
